And The Waves Of Change

The 1994 elections were the biggest repudiation of a political party in this century. They signaled the most dramatic shift in the direction of American politics since the election of Franklin Roosevelt over 60 years ago. Its effects could even exceed those of the Reagan Revolution, or at least carry it to a new level. However, the signal to strike out in a certain direction is not the completion of the trip. This is bigger than the repudiation of a political party.

Confronting The Last Enemy

When Peter made his great confession that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Lord promised: “... upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18 KJV). The gates of hell are the entrances through which the powers of darkness gain access to this world. They are strategic, usually planned as counterpoints to the important purposes of God. We are coming to the time when all of the gates of hell will be fully opened.

On May 16, 1993 I had a vision of racial violence erupting in South Africa on an unprecedented level. Whites were killing blacks and blacks were killing whites by the thousands. The government completely lost its authority and there was anarchy throughout the nation.

Concentration Of Forces

 

The Scriptures frequently use military metaphors to describe our spiritual conflict because the principles are similar. One of the oldest and most effective military strategies is called concentration of forces. This strategy was employed for many in the most decisive military victories in history, including the recent Persian Gulf War. This strategy is about to be employed by the church to accomplish some of the most spectacular spiritual victories realized in centuries.
