Go To Heaven

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne (Revelation 4:1-2).

Confident Access

Last week we discussed Ephesians 3:10, which explains our calling to be witnesses to principalities and powers. The next verse states that , “This (being a witness to principalities) was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Therefore, this is something we must take seriously. This also keeps us in touch with the perspective that our actions on earth have consequences in the heavenly realm.

Day 111 - The Resurrection

We have studied how it was the hope of the resurrection and the glory He was to receive which enabled Jesus to endure the cross. It has also been the truth of the resurrection that empowered all of the martyrs of every age, and it is as we behold the glory set before us that we are able to take up our crosses and "die daily."

We must also consider, if the ultimate fear by which the enemy has kept mankind in bondage is the fear of death, and the truth of the resurrection breaks this bondage, why is the world in such darkness and bondage?

Day 63 - Knowing the Path

The basic purpose of every Christian is to become like the Lord, and to do the works that He did. We do this by loving Him and our neighbors. Everything that we are called to do will fit in one of those categories: loving God or people. We may distinguish the path God has called us to walk by determining the path that compels us to walk in love.

If we truly love the Lord we will love what He loves and hate what He hates.

Not Judging Motives- The Greatest Christian Life, Part 29

Last week we began to address one way we can judge by appearances that can be wrong. I shared a prophetic experience I had years ago in which I was shown a man of God who was accomplishing many things for the Lord. I was then shown a man who appeared to be homeless walking down the street. His name was Angelo. As he walked, a little kitten got in his way, and he roughly thrust it aside with his foot. The Lord then asked me which of these two men I thought He was most pleased with. Of course, I thought it was the one doing such great things for Him.
