Ukraine Crisis Part 2

       The Ukraine Crisis and the Russian takeover of the Crimea continue to dominate the attention of the world and will likely have a big impact on world affairs for the future. It is not the first time this has happened with Crimea. To understand the present crisis and its potential impact on the future, a study of the impact of the Crimean War of 1853-1856 should be done. One of the main factors of this war was the conflict of the religions in the region, which will prove to be a major factor for the present conflict as well.

An American Perspective

In every country I visit I usually have at least one meeting with pastors, business and government leaders. In the last few months, I think I have been asked one common question in every one of these meetings. The question is concerning what I think about the situation in Iraq—if I think it was a just war, and what I think the future is going to be there.

The Spirit of Truth - The Great Commission, Part 26

     In 2008 we began to pray for the Holy Spirit to move in our country. We prayed for the Spirit of Truth to reveal anything hidden that we needed to know. This began happening very quickly. Some might protest that much of what is being illuminated is coming from whistleblowers in the government, but this gives us insight into the work of the Holy Spirit. There were times in the Old Testament when the Lord referred to heathen armies such as the Babylonians as His arm. The Babylonians did not know the Lord, nor did they know that they were being used by Him.

Day 21 - The Test

       And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely;
       but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat,
       for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die" (Genesis 2:16-17).

The Lord did not place the forbidden tree in the Garden in order to cause man to fall.
