Are You Read To Meet The Lord?

The Holy Spirit is now releasing into the church that which will ultimately accomplish more than any other outpouring of the Holy Spirit since the Day of Pentecost. He is releasing a consuming passion for Jesus that will return the church to her first love. There is nothing on earth as contagious as this passion for the Son of God; those who have it will infect everyone they come in contact with. The church is about to fall so in love with the Lord she will cover the world with the knowledge of him like the waters cover the sea.

Day 120 - For Heaven's Sake

As we have learned, it is the calling of every Christian to experience heaven now, and to live a life that demonstrates the reality of heaven on this earth. We do that by living in heaven now. It is our calling to bring heaven to every place we go, to our homes, our jobs, where we shop, everywhere.

As we grow spiritually, our homes, our hearts, and our perspectives, should be heavenly ones. The Christian life is supposed to be filled with the bliss of heaven.

Day 72 - Wearing Out the Saints

"My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray,
they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill,
they have forgotten their resting place" (Jeremiah 50:6).

This warning from Jeremiah is just as valid today as it was when he gave it.

Day 24 - Leaving and Cleaving

For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2:24).

The relationship of fathers and mothers to their children is unique and special. For this reason the only commandment that had a promise attached to it was, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you" (Exodus 20:12). Our longevity is dependent upon our honoring our fathers and mothers.

A Word for the New Year

This coming year, the Lord is going to again impart grace for His people to keep their New Year's resolutions. Many experienced breakthroughs this year and started to taste real victory after years of defeat in some areas. Many did not embrace this grace from the Lord, but it is being extended again for 2007. Those who will seize it with faith and patience will experience victory and will begin a new life marked by victories rather than defeats.

Dynamic Church Life

Last week we discussed how change is a fundamental characteristic of all who are growing. This week I want to discuss a couple of ways that we have implemented change as a lifestyle in our churches, which we believe has had remarkable fruit.

As we learn from biology, the cells in a body are constantly being renewed. Even at the most basic level there are changes happening continually, with some organs of a healthy body actually being renewed every month or so. Others may take a bit longer, but are still being renewed continually. How does this apply to the church?
