This week’s text is Ephesians 4:17-19,
Many people seem to think that a matter’s importance will be reflected by how much space it is given in Scripture. However, some things that are of paramount importance are given very little space in Scripture. Take for example being born again. Only two brief sentences about being born again are in the entire Bible, and they do not really define it. Yet we are told that we cannot even see the kingdom until we have been born again.
Unless otherwise indicated, all Scripture is from the New American Standard version of the Bible.
And it shall be said, "Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstacle out of the way of My people" (Isaiah 57:14).
We are still dealing with some of the important questions being asked in this time, such as: If the foundations of the nations are crumbling, is it not a waste of time to try to shore them up? Why should we not spend our effort and time in building the kingdom and just let the world crumble as it is destined to do?
Once we have been reconciled to God and our fellowship with Him is restored, our basic purpose is to see the city that He is building and to find our part in it. This begins with our part in His church. The angel told John to, “Come here, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb." And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God” (Revelation 21:9-11).

Barcelona, Spain: The gates of the holy have been sealed in Barcelona, but those gates shall be broken wide open. I prophesy a move of the Spirit of God in that nation that begins in the slums of Barcelona and goes all the way to the seat of government.
We continue our study of The Great Commission by addressing some of the major strongholds that must be confronted by the gospel of the kingdom. In recent weeks we have been addressing how Marxism is fundamentally in conflict with the coming kingdom, as well as with what has propelled civilization forward. Marxism is a basic regression in virtually every way, and wherever it has been implemented it has brought poverty and death.
Isaiah 30:25-33 seems to address directly the World Trade Center tragedy:
Dietrich Bonhoeffer once wrote, “When Christ calls a man, He bids him come and die.” That is an accurate assessment of the discipleship to which we are called. There are benefits, and they are far more wonderful than can even be comprehended. Even so, true Christianity is a life of sacrifice where we no longer live for ourselves but for Him.
